What children really hear at bedtime
The last words a child hears before sleep do not vanish with the light. They settle somewhere quieter, become the soft soundtrack of the night, and shape the mood they wake into.
We rarely choose those words with the care we choose their breakfast. And yet, of the two, the words travel further.
The smallest ritual
A single sentence is enough. Name one true thing you noticed about them that day — not a performance, not a grade. Something human. I saw how patient you were with your sister this evening.
Children fall asleep into the story we tell them about themselves. Tell a gentle one.
